This is a very easy stitch from Crocheted Hats and Scarves, but it takes some concentration because the stitches are hard to see. The yarn is thick and soft so, even though it’s a wide scarf, it scrunches around the neck very cosily.

7 sts x 7 rows over a 10cm square working double crochet, using a 10mm hook and Berroco Ultra Alpaca Chunky.

To Make the Scarf
Make 18ch.
Row 1: 1dc in second ch from hook, 1dc in each ch to end. (17 sts)
Row 2: 1ch, 1dc in each st to end. (17 sts)
Rep Row 2 until work measures approx. 218cm.
Do not fasten off.
Turn work and start next row of edging along last row worked of scarf.
Edging Side 1:
*Make 6ch, 3trCL in third ch from hook, ss in next ch, 2ch, miss 1 st, 1dc in next st; rep from * to end. (8 x 3trCL)
Fasten off.
Edging Side 2:
Join yarn in first ch of Row 1 and rep from * of edging side 1.
Fasten off.
Finshing
Sew in all ends.
