Learn the yarn over method of increasing so you can knit the waves of warmth scarf project this weekend.
Making a yarn over between knit stitches
To make a yarn over you wind the yarn around the right-hand needle to make an extra loop that is worked as a stitch on the next row. To make a yarn over between knit stitches (right) bring the yarn between the tips of the needles to the front. Take the yarn over the right-hand needle to the back and knit the next stitch on the left-hand needle.
